Education boards across Sindh will no longer be able to conduct exams, decision to outsource the system:
All matriculation and intermediate examination boards across Sindh will no longer be able to conduct matriculation and intermediate examinations by themselves, but the work of taking the examinations and publishing the results will be done by a private institution. The provincial government on Thursday approved the outsourcing of examinations in view of complaints of irregularities in matriculation and intermediate examinations and results across Sindh. In this regard, Muhammad Zubair, Section Officer of the Department of Boards and Universities, wrote a letter to the heads of all Matric and Inter Education Boards of Sindh. The letter said that due to several complaints of corruption during matriculation and inter examination and compilation of results, provincial minister Ismail Rahu as the controlling authority will conduct the upcoming annual examination 2023 in a phased manner for all boards. has given approval to outsource the examination system. This decision has been taken to automate/digitalise the examination process with the objective of transparency and fairness and discourage corruption. The letter states that all the Chairman Boards are requested to take steps to outsource the examination system through open competitive bidding process as per the Supra Rules 2010 as amended from time to time. All boards will meet the required expenditure within their budget allocation for CFY 2022-23.
